The darkness is coming. May you shine brightly.

The Lord is warning the church through His prophetic voice that an army has been deployed to bring spiritual darkness to every corner of the earth. This army spearheaded by Satan, will be carried out by hordes of spirits seeking to infiltrate our homes, our communities, our churches, and our lives. It will release many spirits carrying an arsenal of false doctrines and deceptions designed to cause the church to fall away into a spirit of apostacy. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the empty tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ (Colossians 2: 8).

Therefore, the Church is preparing to participate in this cataclysmic battle with the knowledge that they are the light of the world.  Only believers who are ‘spiritually” in shape can answer the summons. Just as a regular army prepares its soldiers for battle so the Lord is preparing His soldiers. The natural is fought by natural man while the spiritual must be fought through the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Lord is equipping His church with His weapons and His instructions for this has been given prophetically through a dream.

The dream is detailing a battle between the Church and an army of darkness, Feb 2021.

In the dream, still invisible to the eye was an evil army which was bearing down on a school to destroy it. (The typology of a school often relates to the church, which is a place of instruction and learning, as well as a place of ministry). In the dream this battle was to be a fight to the end, either the light or darkness would prevail. The church ready or not was to become a war zone.

Christendom which has currently discerned the Spirit’s warning to the Church, of an attack from the powers of darkness, is positioning themselves to fight.

In the dream there were two armies of Christians responding to the call. The first army arrived at the school as individuals or in small groups. Although they were only small numbers, together, they had experience in battle, and they knew something of spiritual warfare and what to expect in the fight ahead. This helped them to be positioned on the high ground equipped and prepared as they waited for the enemy to approach.

The first group had encountered the enemy before.

This first group of Christians had experience in spiritual warfare with previous trials and persecution as “targets” of Satan. Like Jesus and His servants, they carried scars, (some physical while others of the heart through rejection, slander, false witnesses) all of which could have made them loose heart and fall away if the Lord had not been their strength and courage (Psalm 27: 13&14).

Through trails, these Christians became overcomers as they learnt through real experiences that the Lord would save them (Psalm 27: 11-3). Jesus had already kept them from giving way to the enemy and from falling. Through their trials and suffering, they learnt the power of the cross as they developed a passion to press deeper into the presence of God, When the Lord said, “Seek My face”, they replied, “Your face Lord, I will seek” (Psalm 27:8). This group had experienced victories which came through a passion for His presence and a hunger for greater intimacy with Him. This intimacy with the Spirit taught them to follow the spirit of God and to be taught of Him, so consequently they don’t do anything or move without Him (Psalm 27:11). Therefore, the illuminating light of the Spirit has placed them on the Rock and made them victorious against Satan and his darkness (Psalm 27:5). King David, who was an experienced warrior, learnt these lessons and recorded them for us in his psalms.  These lessons resulted in him being known as a giant killer who slayed thousands.

Chapter 27 A Psalm of David

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation: Whom shall, I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

3. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear.

5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of his tabernacle, He shall hide me. He shall set me high upon a rock

8 When you said, “Seek My face”, My heart said to you, “Your face Lord, I will seek”.

11 Teach me Your ways, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.

Most of Christendom belongs in a second army, appearing as a battalion of believers.

As the dream continued, I saw a large battalion of Christians faithfully marching towards the battlefield. They were singing victory songs as they slowly approached. The sheer numbers associated with this army made it difficult for them to move efficiently and I was concerned in the dream that they wouldn’t arrive on time. I also sensed that this group was not prepared for what was ahead and the confidence and hype that they were demonstrating was misguided, as it was not of the Holy Spirit but instead was the result of a naturally induced euphoria.

This battalion of Christendom is predominately naturally minded.

Still untested a large part of the church hasn’t learnt the lessons of the previous group and their sheer volume of numbers make them appear invincible however it also makes it difficult for them to leave their comfort zones and be responsive to the Spirit.

The dream continued with me realizing that the light of day was depleting and as darkness approached, I sensed the urgency. The school’s oval was surrounded by a dense forest, and I knew that the enemy was close, hidden somewhere in the trees which bordered onto the very edge of the school’s oval. I knew that imminent danger was lurking in the dark shadows.

The Lord’s equipping is not of the flesh!

The dream continued with my witnessing some well-built Christian soldiers, dressed in football helmets and thick shoulder pads leaving the buildings to perform sentry duty on the oval’s perimeter. (This was the front line because the oval met the dark tall forest at this point). The first sign in the dream, of the enemy’s arrival was seeing the enemy soldiers carrying the sentry soldiers. The enemy carried them just like they were lifeless pieces of wood, before discarding them onto the back of their truck.

This part of the dream is emphasizing the need to shift from a reliance on the strength of the flesh to relying on the Spirit of God.

Darkness is as determined to snuff out the light today as it was in Jesus’ time. In the dream these sentry soldiers became as dry wood, implying that they were Spiritually dry. They had helmets and padding which are indicative of a natural mind and equipping. Without the Spirit they dried up and their faith became hollow and lifeless, and they were easily overcome by Satan, so that they fell away from the Living God. The dream is highlighting that Christians must not put their trust in the flesh but in the Lord to keep them from conforming to the standards of darkness.

Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength. Whose heart departs from the Lord (Jeremiah 17:5).

Those who rely on the Spirit of God will grow from strength to strength and faith to faith, from glory to glory. They will have victory after victory.

The truths that King David expressed in his psalms, are for many Christians the Truth which has and will keep them from falling and, out of the hands of the evil one. Simply put their desire to know Jesus far outweighs the attacks that they may have endured from man or from the agents of Satan. They have learnt to hide themselves in the robe of righteousness so that they do not succumb to the wiles of the enemy. They have learnt through previous battles to love and trust in the Spirit more than in themselves so neither slights, nor slander, nor beatings are able to sway them from remaining true to the Faith and to the Lord Jesus Christ. Like Paul, they say “though I die daily, yet shall I live”. Being positioned so they are sensitive to the Holy Spirit who fellowships with them in the small and great details of their life. Jesus will be their guiding strength and they will fight not in the strength of the flesh but in the power of the Spirit through signs, wonders and miracles. Many among this army will become end time overcomers, conquerors, prophets, apostles, and giant killers who will slay thousands.

May the Lord’s grace be in us so that we will be countered with these precious saints.
